Tom Kahn (artist´s name) was born in 1966 in Germany. His father was an airlinie manager and his mother was a human relations consultant.

Kahn studied economics and political sciences in Strasbourg and Frankfurt with a focus on international relations. His studies included ethnology, history and psychoanalysis. He wrote his thesis for the masters degree on the Dalai Lama in 1994.

After working for three years in consultancy and industry Kahn became a moderator and works in tourism.

Tom Kahn is married to a Russian journalist, has a six year old son and lives in Frankfurt and Moscow.

The author speaks English and French fluently.

The Tibet Project is his first novel.
